Barbara Mendelsberg has been a violin and viola teacher in the Denver area since 1999. She has a strong passion for music and loves to share this joy with her students. She has taught students between the ages of five years old and 80 years old.
Barbara customizes her teaching based on the individual needs of the student. She teaches a variety of repertoire within the Traditional , Classical and Suzuki methodologies. Her focus is on the basics including reading music, proper technique and theory. All of this is done in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
Barbara began studying violin when she was eight years old. As a child, she took private music instruction and played in the school orchestras and Denver City Wide Orchestras. As an adult, she continued taking private music lessons for many years, thus perfecting her technique and enhancing her repertoire of music. She has played with several quartets and performed at various venues including weddings, church services, private events and pit orchestras for musicals. For over twenty years Barbara has played with orchestras in the Denver area. She currently performs with the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra
Barbara strongly believes that music is an enriching experience whether one is listening to it or performing it. Through commitment, patience and perseverance making music can become a life long, rewarding activity.
